It's true. But one thing is also true, as I have found.
Encouraging words, people actually commenting on your stuff, or even helpful criticism is much more appreciated than ppl taking a 2 second look to tease you and leave nothing at all. That actually can annoy and dishearten a person more. That's the newest trend I've noticed on this account. I at least like it sometimes on forums because people will comment and you can compete with other people making you strive to write more. But based off recent non-activing on my last dozen or so deviations, I'm starting to wonder why I even put stuff on this account.
I could chalk this all up to a whiny moment, and that's prob all it is. But i'm sure I'm not the only one out there feeling like that.
It is a lot harder to read someone else's work. I know at times I feel like only reading my own stuff, and I will go occassionally 3-4 weeks without commenting on anything and letting the deviations I wish to look over pile up. But I don't forget, and I do go back and look and comment. If I don't comment, it's because it wasn't one of my favs, or I can't think of anything to say. We all do it.
I'm starting to repeat myself, so I'll end that now.
Do not think I'm pointing the finger, I'm not. Ever. People have lives and other obligations. And I appreciate and am always excited whenever I see even a single comment. But it would be really nice to just see one again. It's been a long time since that's happened.
To all those who do comment, and do so in the future, thank you for your support, and I hope I can in return show you support as well.

So...I run away now...
